Our highly skilled team produces high-quality steel through a modern, four-step process that transforms raw materials into hot-rolled bands. That process is further supported by clean energy from a nearby nuclear power plant, helping reduce emissions while strengthening our broader sustainability efforts.

Our goal has always been straightforward and ambitious: to provide our customers with some of the most sustainable steel options in the industry. We work toward this by striving to be a low CO2 footprint option and making measurable improvements across our operations year after year.
As an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel producer, sustainability is built into our foundation. EAF technology enables efficient recycling, reduced emissions and operational flexibility—helping our customers meet their own environmental goals while supporting a more sustainable steel supply chain.
Leaders in Recycling
We are proud to be one of the largest recycler in the state of Ohio. Through our EAF process, scrap steel is transformed into new, high-quality product every day, reinforcing a circular manufacturing model that conserves resources and minimizes waste.
Water Stewardship that Makes a Difference
Water conservation is another area where innovation creates meaningful impact. By investing in a best-in-class filtration system—recognized as one of the strongest in the industry—we’ve significantly reduced water usage while expanding production capacity.
By optimizing our water systems, we’ve achieved an estimated 35–40% water efficiency improvement compared to conventional growth scaling, even while doubling melt shop capacity. This efficiency saves millions of gallons of water each month and has reduced discharge into the Maumee River—proof that growth and environmental responsibility can move forward together.
